A Pannónia Női Borrend 2024. május 23-28. között Magyarországon látta vendégül a párizsi székhelyű, 36 ország 72 borrendjét magába foglaló Borrendek Nemzetközi Szövetségének (FICB) tagjait.

A 2004-ben alapított Pannónia Női Borrend fő célkitűzése a magyar borvidékek kulturális örökségének megóvása, megőrzése és továbbvitele. Ezen belül legfőképpen a magyar minőségi boroknak és a magyar borászoknak a népszerűsítésével foglalkozunk. Céljaink elérése érdekében a Borrend, a fennállása óta eltelt két évtizedben, számos rendezvényt, konferenciát, borbemutatót szervezett.

A mostani rendezvénysorozat kapcsán is fontos cél volt, hogy a programok által minél több hazai bort és borvidéket ismerhessenek meg a vendégek. Így a borfelismerő- és borversenyen 12 magyar borászat tételei szerepeltek, a külföldről érkező 13 tétel mellett. A verseny eredményhirdetésére május 25-én, egy díjátadó vacsora keretében került sor. Ezen túlmenően Eger és Tokaj borvidéken további 6 pincészet, 21 tétele kerül kóstoltatásra. Az FICB hazánkba látogató tagjai a szakmai programok között megismerkedtek a fővárossal, látogatást tettek Gödöllőn, Egerben és a Tokaji Borvidéken is, ahol a helyi pincészetek borait fedezhették fel.

Report on the International Federation of Wine Brotherhoods (FICB) event in Hungary

The Order of the Ladies of Pannonia hosted the members of the Fédération Internationale des Confréries Bachiques (FICB), a Paris-based association of 72 wine brotherhoods from 36 countries, in Hungary from 23 to 28 May.

Founded in 2004, the main objective of the Order of the Ladies of Pannonia is to protect, preserve and transmit the cultural heritage of the Hungarian wine regions. In particular, we are dedicated to the promotion of quality Hungarian wines and Hungarian winemakers. In order to achieve our goals, the Order has organized numerous events, conferences and wine shows in the two decades since its foundation.

An important goal of this year's event was to introduce as many Hungarian wines and wine regions as possible to the guests. As a result, 12 Hungarian wineries and 13 foreign wineries took part in the Wine Discovery and Wine Competition. The results of the competition were announced at an awards dinner on 25 May. In addition, 21 wines from 6 other wineries in the Eger and Tokaj wine regions were tasted. The FICB members were taken on a guided tour of the Hungarian capital, Budapest, and then to Gödöllő, Eger and the Tokaj wine region, where they discovered the wines of local wineries.
